Peer Review Process

AMACCANG: Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (AJMS) follows a double-blind peer review policy, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process. Submitted manuscripts are evaluated by qualified experts in the relevant fields based on journal guidelines, scientific rigor, originality, and contribution to multidisciplinary knowledge.

Each manuscript is assigned to multiple reviewers who are selected according to their expertise. Reviewers are responsible for assessing the quality, validity, methodological rigor, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript. For revised manuscripts, the same reviewers may be assigned to ensure consistency and to confirm that required improvements have been properly addressed.

AJMS maintains high standards of peer review while continuously improving the efficiency and timeliness of the editorial process.

General Peer Review Principles

All research articles published in AJMS undergo a full peer review process with the following characteristics:

  • Each submitted manuscript is reviewed by at least two qualified experts in the relevant field.
  • Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief, based on reviewers’ recommendations and editorial evaluation.
  • Members of the Editorial Board provide academic input, strategic guidance, and support in editorial decision-making.
  • Managing Editors and Editorial Assistants ensure smooth administrative workflow, maintaining efficiency, confidentiality, and integrity of the peer review process.
  • The journal may also benefit from manuscript referral systems, where previously reviewed papers from other journals are re-evaluated for possible publication in AJMS.

Peer Review of Referred Manuscripts

For manuscripts transferred or referred from other journals:

  • The Editors of AJMS will promptly evaluate the manuscript based on existing peer reviews and editorial assessments.
  • The editorial team may accept, reject, or request revisions based on prior reviews and internal evaluation.
  • Additional reviews may be requested when necessary to ensure academic quality and suitability for publication.
  • Authors will be informed if further review is required.

Peer Review of Original Submissions

For manuscripts submitted directly to AJMS:

  • Each manuscript undergoes a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers appointed by the Editor-in-Chief or designated editors.
  • Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:
    • Scientific quality and originality
    • Methodological soundness
    • Clarity of argumentation
    • Contribution to multidisciplinary knowledge
  • The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Editor makes the final decision to accept, reject, or request revisions, based on reviewers’ comments and recommendations.
  • Reviewers evaluate whether the manuscript presents valid, well-conducted research with conclusions supported by data and analysis.
  • Priority or impact level is not the primary basis for acceptance; however, all accepted papers must provide a clear, original, and meaningful contribution to the literature.

Editorial Decision Standards

AJMS ensures that:

  • Only manuscripts that meet academic and ethical standards are published.
  • Every accepted article contributes to incremental or novel scholarly knowledge.
  • Transparency, fairness, and confidentiality are maintained throughout the review process.
  • Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, not subjective preference.
