Konstruksi Gaya Hidup Generasi Z dalam Penggunaan TikTok: Analisis Perilaku Konsumtif dan Identitas Digital di Media Sosial

Perkembangan TikTok sebagai platform berbagi video pendek telah mentransformasi pola interaksi, ekspresi diri, dan konsumsi di kalangan Generasi Z. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konstruksi gaya hidup Generasi Z dalam penggunaan TikTok, dengan fokus pada perilaku konsumtif dan pembentukan identitas digital di era media sosial. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode studi pustaka, data dikumpulkan dari berbagai literatur ilmiah dan dianalisis melalui teknik analisis isi. Kerangka teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Konsumsi Jean Baudrillard, khususnya konsep nilai tanda, simulasi, dan hiperrealitas. Hasil pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa TikTok berfungsi sebagai ruang produksi budaya konsumsi yang menyimbolkan produk bukan berdasarkan nilai guna, melainkan nilai tanda yang menawarkan status sosial. Fenomena “TikTok Made Me Buy It” mendorong perilaku konsumtif yang didorong oleh keinginan memperoleh pengakuan simbolik. Identitas digital yang dibangun di TikTok merupakan konstruksi simulatif yang seringkali menjauh dari realitas autentik, menciptakan kondisi hiperrealitas di mana representasi dipersepsikan sebagai kebenaran. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa TikTok secara fundamental membentuk gaya hidup Generasi Z melalui logika konsumsi simbolik, sehingga diperlukan literasi digital kritis untuk menghindari jebakan budaya konsumtif yang tidak berkelanjutan.
